Glacier Bay Lodge

I was reading up on the Glacier Bay National Park and the Glacier Bay Lodge today. It seems like it would be an interesting place to visit. From what I understand Glacier Bay has a number of natural wonders as well as a wide variety of wildlife.

Glacier Bay Lodge
is about 50 miles west of Juneau, Alaska and is near Bartlett Cove. The lodge is the only accommodations that you’ll find within the Glacier Bay National Park. From what I heard the lodge has a great view of the Fairweather Mountain range. The spruce trees are also quite beautiful.

The Glacier Bay Lodge is also the place where you can take the Glacier Bay Tour. This tour allows you to take in the Glacier Bay area’s wonderful wildlife. Plus, you can enjoy the view of the Margerie and Grand Pacific glaciers during this tour of Glacier Bay.

Since the Glacier Bay Lodge happens to be the only overnight lodging which is inside of the Glacier Bay National Park this means that you will need to eat their great Alaskan cuisine. While you’re there you can also enjoy interpretive displays, do some sea kayaking and/or fishing or even hit the links and do some golfing.

I think it sounds like a great vacation option. What do you think about the Glacier Bay Lodge?
